Bayonet, Scabbard & Frog found by PFC Milton George Leanes on a belly crawl up the incline of Omaha Beach June 7th 1944.  This Bayonet and scabbard has matching numbers on them. 44 fnj / 9330 e. on ricasso and scabbard mouth.(Alez Coppel GmbH Solingen1942-1944) 3 waffen marks WaA519 one on finial and two on pommel. these items are in good condition with alot of original bluing. along with this is a signed letter from his son John Milton Leanes. copies of photos (one after the Normandy invation holding the bayonet) and a love letter sent home to his wife just before deployment to England for the GREAT INVATION. plus D-Day book-archive collection and wallchart
